|11-11-14 sees the end of a year of fantastic progress here at Polar Star Logistics. We’ve seen expansions not only in our network and services, but also in our team and our office.|
The end of 2013 saw the beginning of some great changes for Polar Star Logistics. We set out with the mission of improving our communication with our loyal clients and potential customers. A new-look website, refreshed social media channels and the introduction of a regular newsletter made it happen, and we’re now in-touch with our clients 24/7.
The end of 2013 also set the precedent for a busy 2014, and January got off to a brilliant start with the signing of an agreement with Emirates SkyCargo, making Polar Star Logistics an official Cargo Sales Agent, as well as being able to manage Airway Bill stock in-house.
The partnership allows Polar Star Logistics access to Emirates’ wide and established network of hundreds of destinations worldwide, on the Emirates fleet of wide-body aircraft.
Also in early 2014, Polar Star won the contracts for airport handling services for three Ukraine-based international airlines: S7 Airlines, Windrose, and Ukraine International Airlines, at Dubai International Airport. Airport Handling services offered by PolarStar Logistics include: slot negotiation with Dubai Civil Aviation (DCA); DNATA services negotiation and control; catering services negotiation and management; fuelling negotiation and coordination; baggage services; all ramp activities control; and assistance to passengers and crew.
Over the next four months, we continued to bring new and improved services to our customers. With exclusive rates to Kiev, Ukraine, an expanded network to Moscow, Russia, thanks to a new Sales Agent contract with Transaero, and a network reaching to East Asia and beyond, we were adding to our services and destinations month by month.
Thanks to our partnership with the internationally-renowned Emirates SkyCargo, our services to the Gulf and Africa became more regular, and finely-tuned to the diverse needs of our customers, offering daily direct flights to hubs around the region and cargo handling services beyond.
In July, Polar Star proved its capabilities in reaching even the most remote destinations, and we found a way to help you reach Dushanbe in Tajikistan, Central Asia. Dushanbe is not served by any freight flight operation, but, never ones to shy away from a challenge, we found a way to offer our clients services to the remote city with no limitations on size or weight, for the best rates on the market.
Recently, we brought you even more destinations, thanks to Transaero’s network expansion. And all with the same great Polar Star services and competitive rates.
Since our establishment, the PolarStar family has tripled, and we outgrew our home. We’re still at the heart of Cargo Village, Dubai, but we’re enjoying a bigger, brighter and, best of all, busier, office.
As another year at Polar Star Logistics comes to an end, we extend our thanks to all our customers, our dedicated team, and our fantastic network of partners. We aim higher, day after day, so that we can serve you better and realise our vision of setting the standard for the logistics industry.
